Dr. Lauren Ungar, CVA was born and raised on Long Island in New York. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York and then headed south to the Caribbean island of St. Kitts where she earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University. She spent her final, clinical year of veterinary school at the University of Georgia and, after graduation in 2003, she and her husband moved to Colorado where they have called home ever since.

Dr. Ungar lives in the suburbs of Denver with her husband, two beautiful children, their rescue Doberman, Sydney and their cat, Serena. They spend their free time enjoying the great Colorado outdoors and love traveling, skiing, hiking, music concerts and camping.

Dr. Ungar has worked as a small animal veterinarian around Denver since 2003 and completed training in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Acupuncture at the Chi Institute in Florida. Acupuncture has been an interest of hers for many years and she has personally experienced the benefits of it. Dr. Ungar is excited to be able to offer this amazing therapy to the patients at Urban Vet Care.
